About me

I am a cosmologist and mathematician with a deep passion for science popularization. My area of expertise lies in relativity and cosmology, where I focus on studying the late universe’s cosmological evolution. My research interests include dark energy, cosmological modelling, observational constraints, and parameter estimation in general relativity, and modified theories of gravity.

I have held a Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, with a thesis on “Some studies on cosmological models in general relativity” in 2011. I was awarded the prestigious National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) post-doctoral fellowship (funded by the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India) and completed three years of post-doctoral research at the Centre for Theoretical Physics, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. During this time, I was actively involved in the Taramandal outreach program of CTP, JMI, conducting science popularization programs for school students with the help of a mobile planetarium together with my hard-core research in cosmology, resulting in several high-impact research publications.

I have a teaching experience of more than thirteen years in mathematics, imparting knowledge at different esteemed institutions in India. These include VIT University in Vellore, Manipal University in Jaipur, ITM University in Gurgaon, Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Technical University in Lucknow, and Mahamaya Technical University in Noida (which is now known as Abdul Kalam Technical University in Lucknow). During my tenure, I have taught a diverse range of subjects such as engineering mathematics, operations research, mathematical physics, graph theory, modern and linear algebra, differential equations, analysis, modelling and simulations, probability and statistics, as well as value education and several other courses. I have collaborated extensively with researchers and academicians nationally and internationally.

As an avid science popularizer, I am deeply committed to promoting science education, rational thinking, and scientific temperament in society. I have organized and conducted several science popularization programs, including public lectures, discussions, and sharing of scientific thoughts through social media, mobile planetarium programs, and sky-watching with a telescope. I am currently running an online science popularization program aimed to develop scientific temper among kids, students, and enthusiastic people of all ages.

With my extensive expertise and diverse professional experience, I received an invitation to join SGT University in Gurugram, where I had played an important role in establishing the Centre for Cosmology and Science Popularization (CCSP) as the first founding member. For a few years I worked dedicatedly and achieved significant accomplishments through my outreach activities and core research.

Recently, I embarked on a new journey by establishing the Pacif Educational and Welfare Trust, where I serve as the president & Managing Trustee of the trust. In line with the trust's mission, the first unit of the trust is founded namely, Pacif Institute of Cosmology and Selfology (PICS) as a dedicated research institute, where I have taken over the charge of the Director. The primary motivation behind PICS is to provide a cohesive platform for exploring both the vast universe and the intricate nature of the self. Exploring the history of HISTORY

It is good to explore the history but it is more important to explore the science of the history. There is a field of history called "HISTORIOGRAPHY", which is the history of history.
